E Is for Enough
We spend so much time looking over the fence, convinced the grass is greener on the other side. But what if the most powerful truth you could carry is simply this: you are enough, right where you are.

E Is for Enough
Look up through the trees on a warm afternoon and notice how the light filters through the leaves — dappled, generous, unhurried. The tree does not strain to reach the light of another forest. It grows where it is rooted. It trusts that what it has, right here, is enough.
We could learn a great deal from trees.
The Comparison Trap
There is a quiet thief that moves through our lives, stealing joy so gradually we barely notice it is gone. Its name is comparison.
We look at someone else's career and wonder why ours feels smaller. We scroll through other people's lives and feel the subtle ache of lack — lack of beauty, lack of success, lack of something we cannot quite name but are certain we are missing. We convince ourselves that everyone else was handed something we were not. That they have access to a door we cannot find.
We forget, in those moments, that we are looking at someone else's highlight reel while living our own unedited life. We forget that the grass on the other side is not greener — it is simply unfamiliar. And unfamiliarity has a way of looking like abundance when we are standing in our own ordinary, extraordinary lives.
The comparison trap does not just steal our joy. It steals our belief in ourselves. And that is the greater loss.
What You Already Have
Here is a truth worth sitting with: what you have is enough.
Not as a consolation. Not as a reason to stop growing or dreaming or reaching. But as a foundation — a solid, unshakeable starting point from which everything else becomes possible.
Your capabilities are not lesser because someone else's are different. Your path is not slower because someone else's looks faster. Your gifts are yours — specific, particular, shaped by every experience you have lived through — and they are here to serve you, not to be measured against anyone else's.
The universe does not operate from a place of scarcity. There is no fixed amount of success, joy, love, or abundance being divided among us, with some people getting more and others getting less. The universe is expansive. Generative. There is no lack in it.
And because there is no lack in the universe, there is no lack in you.
You Are the Starting Point
When we rise to the full understanding of ourselves — when we stop shrinking and apologising and comparing — something remarkable happens. We begin to see clearly.
We see that we have always had what we needed. That the resources, the resilience, the creativity, the courage — they were never somewhere else. They were here, in us, waiting to be recognised and called upon.
You are enough is not a passive statement. It is not an invitation to settle. It is the most powerful starting point there is — because when you know you are enough, you stop spending your energy on comparison and start spending it on creation. You stop asking why not me? and start asking what is mine to do?
That shift changes everything.
Recognising Your Own Abundance
Gratitude is one of the most direct paths to recognising your own abundance. When we practise gratitude — genuinely, attentively — we begin to see what is actually here. Not what is missing. Not what someone else has. What is here, in our own lives, in our own hands, in our own hearts.
The ability to think, to feel, to connect, to create. The experiences that have shaped you — even the hard ones, perhaps especially the hard ones. The people who have loved you. The moments of beauty you have witnessed. The times you surprised yourself with your own strength.
All of it is abundance. All of it is enough.
Expanding Into Your Potential
Here is the beautiful paradox: when you accept that you are enough, you become more.
Not because you were lacking before, but because acceptance removes the weight of self-doubt that was holding you back. When you are no longer spending your energy on the exhausting work of feeling inadequate, that energy becomes available for something else — for growth, for expression, for the full flowering of who you actually are.
You expand your consciousness. You become ready — truly ready — to embrace your potential. Not the potential you imagined someone else had. Your own. The one that has been waiting patiently inside you all along.
Look up through the trees. Let the light find you where you are.
You are rooted. You are growing. You are enough.
